SSN Trace, criminal, sex-offender, sanctions, and verification products run against live screening data once you’re in production. Enabling live screenings adds a monthly seat plus per-search usage — the seat covers our screening data costs so the platform stays online.

Sandbox screenings use fixtures and are always free to try. Live screenings require this seat.

Does the sandbox cost anything?

No. The sandbox runs on fixtures with no live screening calls, so it’s free to build and test against.

Why are screenings priced separately?

Live screenings run on production screening data that bills us monthly plus per search. The seat and usage recover that cost — we don’t bundle it into a low platform fee and lose money on every check.

What counts toward my identity plan?

One completed KYC or KYB session is one verification, regardless of how many checks run inside it. Screenings are counted separately.

Do I need the screening seat?

Only when you enable live screenings in production. Identity (Document + Face check + KYB) works on Growth and Scale without it.
